The ClubSwan 36 is not a cruising boat wearing racing sails. Nautor Swan drew it as a strict one-design racer, and Juan Kouyoumdjian shaped a 10.99 metre hull light enough, at 2,720 kg measurement displacement, to be pushed hard by a small crew.

The distinguishing piece is the C-foil. It works on both axes: upwind it generates mostly side force, cutting leeway and improving VMG; reaching above roughly 15 knots of boat speed it carries up to 40 per cent of the displacement and the hull begins to skim. Crews report surfing well past 20 knots, which for a 36 footer with a fixed keel is a different order of sailing.

The deck follows the same discipline. Seven Harken winches sit where a crew actually moves, control lines run under two removable panels so the working surfaces stay clean, and the cleats for deflector, cunningham and vang are duplicated on both sides for the mainsail trimmer. Below there is no interior in the Swan tradition, only what the yard calls a protected shelter: a dry space with removable berths, watertight bulkheads forward of the rudders, and the engine set centrally under the cockpit. A Nanni diesel is standard and a Torqeedo electric drive is offered.

For a buyer, the appeal is a small, well-supported one-design fleet with the factory brokerage behind it and asking prices that have held near 400,000 euros.
