About BETH ANN

The Westport 112 is the most successful American motor yacht of its generation, and the reason is not glamour. It is that the boat does exactly what it says it will, every time, for decades. BETH ANN is one of the better examples still chartering.

Delivered in 2012 and refitted through 2025, she carries eight guests in four cabins with a crew of five. Her hull is a composite semi-displacement form that cruises comfortably at 13 knots and will run at 25 when there is somewhere to be. On a charter that spans New England in summer and the Leeward Islands and BVIs in winter, that top end is not a specification-sheet number – it is what turns a lost afternoon into an extra anchorage.

Her main deck is a single open volume, and it is handled well. Aft, deep cream seating and a low table face a wall-mounted screen; forward, a pale dining table for eight sits under a sculpted deckhead with a gold sunburst inlay. Mahogany joinery, cream upholstery, and glass along both sides. It is a classically American interior – warm, generous, unembarrassed – and the 2025 refit has kept it looking current without stripping out what makes it distinctive.

Forward of the saloon sits the room that quietly sells this yacht: a country-kitchen galley with a granite island, full-height cabinetry and a separate dinette with a banquette and a screen. Guests are welcome in it. On a 34-metre yacht that is a meaningful difference – breakfast happens where the coffee is being made rather than in a formal room two decks away.

The wheelhouse above is properly traditional, all timber and instruments, and open to guests underway. Beyond it the flybridge runs the length of the deck: a navy banquette around an oval granite table, a wet bar with barrel stools, and open sightlines in every direction. The sun deck carries a spa – a moulded shell with jets and a grab rail – set beside sun loungers under a shade sail, with the tender and toys stowed aft.

Accommodation is arranged around a full-beam master on the main deck, with a king berth, a walk-in wardrobe, a marble ensuite and framed coral studies on pale bulkheads. Two queen guest cabins sit below, one finished with a large monochrome photograph, each with its own ensuite. A forward VIP completes the four, reached past the galley – the layout that makes the country kitchen the yacht’s real centre of gravity.

BETH ANN charters with five crew, which for eight guests is a comfortable margin, and her galley is used seriously. Her aft deck lays up for eight under a hardtop with the water directly behind, and her swim platform is set up for the toy inventory rather than around it.

She previously ran as NAUTI N’ NICE and was renamed with her current ownership; her photography is current under the BETH ANN name, which is lettered on the superstructure. For a group of eight who want a well-run, fast, thoroughly conventional yacht in two of the best cruising grounds in the Atlantic, she is a straightforward answer.
