At eighty metres, a pool is a genuine swimming pool rather than a repurposed jacuzzi. The hull beam at this length gives designers room for pools of four to six metres, typically set into the sun deck or the main aft deck with glass bottoms, counter current jets and enough depth to stand in. The fleet draws from the top tier of European construction. Feadship contributes Arrow, Alvia, Lady S and Sophia, Lurssen adds Starfire and Solandge, and CRN delivers Arbema, Mimtee and Starburst IV. Oceanco provides Wheels, Alfa Nero and Sunrays. Admiral’s Kensho, Perini Navi’s Nautilus and Golden Yachts’ O’Ptasia and O’Pari complete the group. Most take twelve guests in six to eight cabins. Twenty of the twenty four also carry a beach club, eighteen a gym, and fifteen a cinema.
Weekly rates start at five hundred and sixty two thousand euros for Axioma and run to one million eight hundred thousand for Sophia. The median sits at nine hundred thousand, with thirteen yachts between seven hundred thousand and one million. An advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. Peak pricing falls in July and August in the Mediterranean and over Christmas in the Caribbean.
