An explorer yacht with a pool combines two ideas that once seemed incompatible: the range and ruggedness to reach remote anchorages, and the refined amenity of a deck pool for arriving in style. These are not standard motor yachts carrying a plunge pool as an afterthought. They are purpose-built expedition hulls with reinforced structures, long-range fuel capacity and serious tender garages, designed for open water from the outset.
Six explorer yachts in our charter fleet carry a pool, from Moka at fifty metres to Octopus at one hundred and twenty six. Para Bellvm, built by Amels, pairs a glass-sided infinity pool with a range for the Norwegian fjords and beyond. King Benji, an ISA seventy three metre, combines a large aft-deck pool with helipad and submarine capability. Ludzie, a Feadship of eighty metres, carries a pool on the main deck alongside a full expedition tender complement.
Weekly rates begin at one hundred and ninety thousand euros for Moka and run to two million two hundred thousand for Octopus, with most of the fleet falling between two hundred and fifty thousand and three hundred and seventy five thousand euros. The advance provisioning allowance adds roughly thirty percent, covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
These yachts cross oceans rather than coastlines. The Mediterranean in summer, the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter, but also Alaska, the South Pacific, the Maldives and northern Europe, wherever the combination of a serious hull and a sun-deck pool delivers something no resort can match.
