ECLAT is a 31 metre Leopard, built by Cantieri Arno in 2008 and given a thorough refit in 2022, and she is one of the quickest yachts of her size on the charter market. Her long, low sports profile hides a genuinely fast planing hull that cruises at 25 knots and can reach around 40 knots flat out, so the next bay, the next island or a late lunch a long way down the coast is never more than a short, exhilarating run away. She takes nine guests in four cabins with a crew of four.
For all that pace, ECLAT is built for easy days in the sun. Her foredeck is given over to a broad sunpad lounge with soft cushions and an open view forward, a favourite spot for a swim stop or an afternoon out of the wind. Aft, a shaded deck sets a proper table for al fresco dining, glasses and linen laid with the coastline as a backdrop, and steps down to a swim platform and the sea. The toy locker keeps active guests happy, with a Williams jet tender, two Seabobs, water skis and a wakeboard, a two seat kayak, paddle boards and a Jet Surf, plus snorkelling gear for the quieter coves.
Inside, the main deck is a light, contemporary salon that runs almost the full width of the yacht, glazed low along both sides so the sea is always in view. A relaxed lounge of pale sofas and warm leather chairs sits forward, opening to a dining area around a polished timber table, the whole space finished in blond wood and soft neutral tones. It is an easy, sociable interior, made for a group that moves naturally between the sofa, the table and the deck just outside.
The accommodation makes the most of a sports yacht hull. The master stateroom is a bright, full width room with its own bathroom and generous natural light, while a VIP suite and two further guest cabins below, each en suite, complete the layout and adapt easily to couples, families or friends. Warm walnut joinery, crisp white linen and neat, well judged detailing give the cabins a calm, contemporary feel after a fast day on the water.
Quick, sleek and genuinely fun, ECLAT is a yacht for guests who want their week to move at their own pace, whether that means a high speed dash along the coast or a slow evening at anchor with dinner on deck. Based on the French Riviera, she is perfectly placed for Saint Tropez, the Cote d Azur and the islands of the western Mediterranean, and she charters from 60,000 euros per week with her crew of four. Her small, professional team keep every day relaxed and easy, shaping the itinerary around whatever the group feels like doing. Air conditioning runs throughout, and because she is compact and quick she reaches anchorages that larger yachts cannot, slipping into shallow bays and small harbours along the coast. For a couple, a family or a group of friends who want a lively, hands on week on the water rather than a slow passage, ECLAT is hard to beat.
