A classic yacht in the Phi Phi Islands brings a different register to one of Southeast Asia’s most visited cruising grounds. Where motor yachts and catamarans are the default, a classically built or designed vessel moves through the landscape with more visual purpose. The sheer limestone cliffs of Ko Phi Phi Leh and the quiet coves of the outer islands are well served by a yacht with lines that complement the setting rather than contrast with it.
The classic fleet available for this region ranges from traditionally styled wooden ketches and schooners to modern vessels built in the classic tradition, typically between 20 and 45 metres. Guest capacities run from six to twelve in three to six cabins, with crew of three to five.
Weekly rates start at approximately 45,000 Euros for smaller vessels and reach 390,000 Euros for larger, more celebrated boats. The advance provisioning allowance, around 30 percent, covers provisioning, fuel, and any local fees.
November through April is the season, with the northeast monsoon providing settled conditions across the Andaman and the clearest water of the year on the outer reefs of the Lanta archipelago.
