Curated Selection
Fold out terraces on an eighty metre yacht change the relationship between interior and sea. Hydraulic platforms lower from the hull to create waterline balconies, extending usable space beyond the fixed footprint of the deck. At this length, the engineering allows terraces wide enough for lounging, dining or stepping directly into the water. Six yachts in the eighty metre band carry this feature, built by Feadship, CRN, Oceanco and Nobiskrug. Three of the six are Feadships. Lady S, at ninety three metres, is the largest yacht in the group and carries terraces as part of a design by Michael Leach that redefined superyacht exterior space. Alvia, at seventy six metres, pairs her terraces with a beach club and wellness area, while Joy at seventy metres integrates them into a layout built for long seasons. Sunrays, an eighty five metre Oceanco, adds a helipad and a cinema. Arbema from CRN and Siren from Nobiskrug complete the group at seventy two and seventy three metres. Weekly rates run from five hundred thousand euros for Siren to one million seven hundred and fifty thousand for Lady S. The median sits around seven hundred and eighty seven thousand. The advance provisioning allowance adds roughly thirty percent, covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks. August commands the highest premiums, with shoulder months offering better availability. Summer itineraries cover the western Mediterranean, with the Riviera, Sardinia and Croatia the most requested waters. Several reposition to the Caribbean for winter.
