Codecasa is the Viareggio yard that has built custom steel and aluminium motor yachts since 1825, one of the oldest active shipbuilders in the world. Its fifty metre hulls tend toward elegance rather than volume, with hull lines drawn for long range cruising and interiors that reflect generations of Italian craftsmanship. Four Codecasa yachts charter around the fifty metre mark, all carrying twelve guests in six cabins.
Emerald is the newest at fifty one metres, with a gym, a steam room and a hydraulic swim platform that drops to the waterline. Cyan sits at forty eight metres and adds a cinema and a gym, making her well suited to evenings at anchor. Kadimo’s at forty nine metres carries the most traditional layout and commands the highest rate. Mariu, also forty nine metres, is the most accessible in price and known for her clean exterior lines and comfortable aft deck.
Rates begin at one hundred and eighty five thousand euros a week for Mariu and climb to two hundred and forty thousand for Kadimo’s. Cyan asks one hundred and ninety six thousand and Emerald two hundred thousand. Add roughly thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks. August weeks command a premium across the group.
All four yachts base in the Mediterranean, with the Italian coast, Sardinia and Croatia their most common itineraries.
