A spa on an explorer yacht is a facility that earns its place. These yachts spend weeks at sea, operating in cold waters as often as warm, and the crew and guests accumulate physical fatigue that a massage table addresses better than another evening on the sun deck. The spa on an expedition vessel is not a decorative addition. It is a working recovery space with trained therapists, treatment rooms and plunge pools in a dedicated lower deck area.
Ten explorer yachts in our charter fleet offer a spa, from the forty eight metre Bhavana to Octopus at one hundred and twenty six metres. The phinisi contingent is well represented: LAMIMA, Prana by Atzaro and Bhavana each carry spa facilities within hand-carved teak interiors. At the larger end, Bold, Kogo, Sherakhan and Suri provide full spa suites with professional therapists as permanent crew. Triton, a sixty seven metre explorer, pairs a spa with a substantial diving operation.
Weekly rates begin at one hundred and five thousand euros for Bhavana and reach two million two hundred thousand for Octopus. The core of the fleet charters between one hundred and forty thousand and seven hundred thousand euros, with the advance provisioning allowance adding roughly thirty percent for fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
These yachts work wherever their range allows. Indonesia, the Norwegian coast, Patagonia, the Caribbean and the eastern Mediterranean. The spa becomes particularly valued in colder waters, where a hot stone treatment after a morning glacier hike is the definition of expedition luxury.
