Lürssen has built at Bremen since 1875 and fitted the first petrol engine to a boat with Gottlieb Daimler eleven years later. The length of that record matters less than what it produced. The yard now delivers the largest and most technically complex private yachts afloat, and treats one hundred metres as a working size rather than a landmark.
Our Lürssen charter fleet is small and weighted heavily toward the top of the market. Octopus at one hundred and twenty six metres and Kismet at one hundred and twenty two are the two giants, the first carrying a submarine, two helicopter decks and a dive centre, the second a recent delivery drawn by Nuvolari Lenard. Solandge at eighty five metres, Starfire and Titania at seventy three, Lady Kathryn V at sixty one and Capri I at fifty eight cover the range below. ALAYA, thirty three metres and dating from 1965, is the outlier and the least expensive route onto a Lürssen.
ALAYA opens the fleet near fifty nine thousand euros a week. Beyond her, rates run from four hundred and thirty thousand for Lady Kathryn V to three million for Kismet, with Solandge and the seventy three metre pair falling between six hundred and fifteen thousand and one million one hundred and fifty thousand. An advance provisioning allowance close to thirty percent applies throughout.
