CAPRI I is a magnificent 58.6-metre motor yacht built to the very highest standards by the world-renowned German shipyard Lurssen and delivered in 2003, with a refit in 2017 keeping her in beautiful, charter-ready condition. Fully custom built to meet her owner’s exacting requirements, she is the work of Glade Johnson Design, responsible for both her elegant exterior styling and her sumptuous interior, and she is the perfect combination of classic style and modern comfort. The voluptuous, softly curving lines of her exterior ensure she stands out from the crowd, while beneath them lies all the exceptional seakeeping, engineering and craftsmanship for which Lurssen is famous. Built on a full-displacement steel hull with an aluminium superstructure over five decks, she has an unusually large interior volume for a yacht of her size, allowing for a wonderful variety of casual and formal entertaining and dining areas, and she is fitted with zero-speed stabilisers for exceptional comfort at anchor and a remarkable long range that makes even distant cruising grounds easily attainable. Her interior blends a classical theme with a contemporary twist, with inlaid marble, burled woods and silk fabrics used throughout to create a warm, refined and timeless atmosphere. The main deck is home to a classically styled saloon and formal dining room dressed in precious woods and luxurious fabrics, while the upper deck saloon is light and airy, offering panoramic sea views, and an observatory lounge provides yet another characterful space in which to relax. Life on deck is equally impressive across her five levels. The expansive sundeck and observation deck are home to a fully-equipped gym, an outdoor jacuzzi and comfortable seating, the perfect place to keep fit or cool off while taking in the views, and there are generous, well-planned exterior areas throughout for dining, sunbathing and socialising. She even boasts a soundproof music recording room and an onboard masseuse, along with a fantastic and extensive selection of the very latest water toys. Accommodation is arranged for up to 12 guests in six luxurious staterooms. The full-beam master suite occupies the main deck and features a king-size bed, a vanity, a private sitting room and a private office, along with an expansive onyx bathroom with his-and-hers facilities, a jacuzzi bathtub, a spacious shower and four closets including a large walk-in wardrobe. A VIP cabin, which can be used as a children’s cabin, is also on the main deck, while three double cabins and a twin, all with spacious marble en-suite bathrooms, are located on the lower deck, each with its own entertainment system. A professional crew of up to 15 delivers exceptional, attentive service. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, CAPRI I cruises comfortably at around 13 to 14 knots with a top speed of some 16 knots and a long range of several thousand nautical miles.
