Among the sport fishing boats, catamarans, and expedition vessels that define most of the regional fleet, a classic yacht, built or designed in the timeless tradition, is immediately distinguishable. Against the backdrop of Phang Nga Bay’s limestone karst, Ko Phi Phi’s cliffs, or the open Andaman horizon, the lines of a classic yacht have a rightness that a modern composite hull can rarely replicate.
The classic charter fleet available from Phuket ranges from traditionally styled wooden ketches to contemporary yachts with a classic aesthetic, typically between 20 and 45 metres. Guest capacities run from six to twelve across three to six cabins, with crew of three to five.
Weekly rates begin at around 45,000 Euros and reach 390,000 Euros for larger vessels with notable provenance. The advance provisioning allowance adds roughly 30 percent, covering provisions, fuel, and local fees.
November through April is the season, with the northeast monsoon providing the consistent conditions that classic yachts are built to handle with greatest ease.
