Santorini is one of the most visually distinctive starting points for a family yacht charter in the Mediterranean. The caldera anchorage, with its volcanic cliffs and white villages above, delivers an arrival that children and adults find equally compelling, and the island has a range of accessible beaches, archaeological sites and boat-accessible attractions that spread naturally across a family itinerary. The Minoan ruins at Akrotiri, often described as the Pompeii of the Aegean, are a short tender and taxi from the black sand beach of Perivolos.
