I Sea is built around a contradiction that most yachts never resolve: she is set up for a formal dinner and for a child going down a slide into the sea, and neither has been made to give way to the other.
The evidence is on the sundeck. At one end there is a spa pool with a bar and shaded seating around it, and at the other a full-size inflatable slide runs from the deck edge into the water. Below, the transom garage opens onto a platform with two jet skis, a rack of kayaks, water skis, a SEABOB, dive gear and boards stacked along the bulkhead. Almost none of it is optional equipment brought in for the week; it lives on board, and it is why she works for three generations at once.
She is a 41.9-metre aluminium motor yacht drawing 1.9 metres, and that shallow draft is the reason she reads as a Greek boat rather than a Riviera one. The Cyclades reward a yacht that can lie close in, and I Sea can take a bay that a deeper displacement hull has to look at from further out. She cruises at twelve knots and will run at eighteen when the wind gets up in the afternoon.
Inside, the design is warm and horizontal — figured timber panelling in bands, cream leather, and a sharp use of colour that stops the whole thing from turning beige. The main saloon is arranged in two facing seating groups around a low glass table, with teal and orange cushions against the cream and a single bold canvas on the aft bulkhead. Forward is a proper dining room around an oval table under a mirrored ceiling panel. Up a deck, the skylounge is the room the yacht is really used from: a long banquette, a low table, a chess set left out. A separate media lounge, with an olive sectional and a wall-mounted screen, gives the younger half of a charter party somewhere entirely their own.
The owner’s apartment takes the full beam of the main deck forward. It has its own lounge area, a walk-in dressing room, and glass doors that fold back onto a private balcony — rare at this size, and the single feature that most separates her from her competition. The bathroom carries glass vessel basins on figured onyx with a full glazed shower. Below, a VIP, a further double and two twins — one with a Pullman — carry the balance of the ten guests. Nine crew serve them, close to one for each guest.
She is not a new yacht and she does not pretend to be. What she offers instead is volume, equipment and a crew ratio that a newer 42-metre at this money would not match: 384 gross tonnes, five cabins, and a toy inventory that would embarrass yachts twenty metres longer. The finishes have been kept up, the 2020 refit brought the systems current, and the shoot shows a boat that is used rather than staged — a chess set left out in the skylounge, boards racked in the garage, kit where the crew can reach it.
