Fifteen yachts are available for a 175,000-euro weekly charter in St Vincent, covering the 48 to 62 metre range and offering a well-appointed base for a Grenadines programme that begins at the volcanic main island before heading south through the chain. St Vincent offers a contrast to the more developed southern Grenadines: the island is large, green and mountainous, with the active La Soufriere volcano dominating the northern skyline, rainforest hiking trails and the remote northern leeward coast accessible only by sea. Kingstown provides provisioning and customs services before the Grenadines departure. The leeward anchorages at Cumberland Bay and Wallilabou Bay, the latter famous from the Pirates of the Caribbean filming locations, provide comfortable overnight stops. At 175,000 euros per week the advance provisioning allowance reaches around 52,500 euros, covering premium catering from Barbados, a full fuel load and marina fees. Crew of six to eight serve groups of up to ten. Caribbean high season from December through April attracts a 15 to 20 percent premium. Argyle International Airport connects directly to Barbados, with the vessel positioned in Kingstown for embarkation.
