About BACA

BACA is a 43.4-metre Royal Denship, Danish-built in 2009 and given a comprehensive refit in 2019 that reset her character entirely. The interior, by Claudette Bonville, is the reason to look closely: a blue-accented palette drawn from the sea itself, artistic detail throughout and a statement glass-blown chandelier suspended above the dining table. She reads as calm and considered rather than showy, a yacht refreshed with intent rather than simply updated. Royal Denship built a small, distinctive fleet of solid steel motor yachts, and BACA carries that substance and sea-keeping beneath the newer, softer interior, which is part of what makes her such a capable long-season charter yacht.

Her lines are those of a capable, slightly classic motor yacht, complete with a Portuguese bridge forward, and that pedigree matters for how she charters. She moves at an easy displacement pace, cruising at 10 knots, and she is built to be comfortable and self-sufficient across a broad range. That is why she splits her year between the Mediterranean in summer and the Bahamas and Caribbean in winter without ever feeling out of place in either.

Inside, three distinct spaces give guests room to separate or gather. The main deck lounge is the social heart, filled with light through oversized windows and arranged around comfortable, plush seating. It flows to a dining area beneath the chandelier, while a sky lounge above provides a quieter retreat for films, cards or a drink away from the main flow. The blue-toned scheme runs throughout, tying the spaces together.

BACA accommodates ten guests in five cabins, laid out as four doubles and a twin with an additional berth. The lower deck cabins are finished in the same serene palette, with generous natural light and en suite bathrooms detailed to the standard of the refit. The layout suits families and groups equally, and the crew of nine keeps the service in step with the setting.

Outdoor living is where she earns a second look. A beach club opens at the waterline for direct access to the sea, and a deck jacuzzi sits among the sun and shade of the upper decks. Dining and lounging spaces layer across the sun deck, bridge deck and main deck aft, so meals and downtime can follow the light and the breeze through the day. The Portuguese bridge forward gives guests an unusual, ship-like vantage point that most modern yachts have lost.

Her activity inventory is deep and well-suited to warm water. She carries two tenders, waverunners, SeaBobs, eFoils, kayaks and paddleboards, along with a wakeboard, waterskis, a waterslide, an anti-jellyfish sea pool, a trampoline and towed inflatables, and she operates an RYA training centre so guests can build real skills rather than simply borrow the equipment. It is a genuinely family-friendly set-up, with something for every age and confidence level.

BACA is a yacht for guests who value character and comfort over speed and spectacle: a well-travelled, thoughtfully refreshed explorer with a distinctive interior, a serious watersports program and the range to follow the seasons across two hemispheres.

She cruises Corsica and the wider Mediterranean in summer and the Bahamas and Caribbean in winter, chartering from EUR 185,000 per week.
