About Ohana

OHANA is a 49.7-metre performance sailing sloop built by the New Zealand yard Fitzroy Yachts and delivered in 2012 as their flagship model. Designed by Dubois Naval Architects with a fixed bulb keel and all-aluminium construction, she wears a distinctive grey and yellow hull that makes her one of the most immediately recognisable sailing yachts at any anchorage. Her Fitzroy interiors are bright and airy, with light whitewashed oak, cream furnishings and long windows that fill the spaces with natural light.

OHANA has competed at prestigious regattas including the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, and her crew brings genuine sailing knowledge. A cinema area in the main salon, flybridge with twin helm stations and aft cockpit with sunbeds give her versatile outdoor social spaces. The master suite aft on the lower deck has a dedicated office and custom wardrobe system.

Accommodation sleeps 10 guests across five staterooms: master, two doubles and two twins. Powered by a single Caterpillar engine with a 3,400nm range, she is managed through Edmiston with a crew of eight.

Ohana delivers the experience that only a true performance sailing yacht can offer. Deck layout, rig geometry and hull form are all optimised for blue-water passage-making. Going to windward in a brisk breeze, running trade winds downwind or reaching across open ocean, every aspect of sailing Ohana rewards the engaged charterer with a connection to the sea that no motor yacht can replicate.

The main salon of Ohana is a considered and generous open-plan living and dining area that uses the finest materials, furniture and lighting to create a space that feels as refined and comfortable as a top private residence. Large windows ensure natural light throughout the day, and the natural flow from salon to aft deck makes indoor-outdoor living completely effortless.

The master suite of Ohana occupies the finest position on the yacht for privacy and natural light. A king-sized bed, sitting area, his-and-hers dressing facilities and a premium stone en-suite bathroom with shower and bath create a private retreat of the highest calibre, one that compares favourably with the finest suites in any shore-based five-star hotel.

Between passages, Ohana’s cockpit and deck areas become the social heart of the charter. A generous cockpit with built-in seating and sunbeds, shaded helm station and foredeck lounging areas give guests multiple outdoor options. The rig overhead frames every view with the elegant geometry of a real working sailing yacht.

Entertainment aboard Ohana centres on a dedicated cinema space with premium audio-visual equipment: large-format screen, high-resolution projector and reference-quality sound. The system extends across all salons and several exterior deck areas, delivering streaming, satellite broadcast and film library access wherever guests choose to watch.

The 5 staterooms of Ohana accommodate 10 guests overnight in surroundings that match the quality of the master suite in materials and care. Cabins are configured flexibly for different group compositions, several converting between double and twin, and each has an en-suite bathroom, generous storage, individual climate control and a complete entertainment system.

At anchor, Ohana deploys a comprehensive water sports programme: rigid tender, water skis, wakeboards, kayaks, snorkelling gear and inflatables. The swim platform at the stern provides safe and direct sea access, and the yacht’s ability to reach sheltered anchorages off the beaten charter track adds a genuine sense of discovery to every itinerary.
