AURA is a 36.6 metre Benetti motor yacht that brings together the warm, traditional craftsmanship the Italian yard is known for and a sociable layout made for relaxed cruising in the sun. She was delivered in 2006 and given a thorough refit in 2018, and today she welcomes ten guests across five well proportioned cabins, looked after by a professional crew of seven who tailor each day to the group aboard.
Life aboard AURA is centred on the outside. Her broad sundeck carries a circular spa pool set into the teak, ringed by sunpads and served by a shaded bar, so guests can move easily between a swim, a rest in the sun and a cool drink out of the heat. A step down, the main deck aft is laid for al fresco dining beneath a fixed awning, with the coastline sliding past on both sides. At the waterline a beach club and swim platform open the yacht to the sea, and a generous toy store keeps the day full: a rib chase boat, jet skis, Seabobs, stand up paddle boards, inflatable kayaks and towable toys. AURA is a registered jet ski school with an instructor aboard, so even first timers can get out on the water safely and with confidence.
Inside, AURA is finished in rich, hand laid timber that gives her interior a timeless, restful feel. The main salon is a bright, comfortable room of deep sofas and armchairs framed by large windows, with a formal dining area just forward beneath a domed ceiling for long lunches and celebration dinners. A quieter sky lounge sits on the deck above, a relaxed retreat with its own bar and soft seating for reading, films or a nightcap once the sun has gone down. Molton Brown amenities, air conditioning throughout and a hairdryer in every cabin round out the everyday comforts.
The accommodation is arranged for a family or a group of friends travelling together. The full beam master suite runs the width of the yacht, filled with light from windows on both sides and paired with a private seating area and a marble bathroom. A VIP stateroom and three further guest cabins, each en suite and dressed in the same pale, restful palette, complete the layout and convert easily between double and twin use, making the yacht equally suited to couples or to children.
Underway AURA is a calm, stabilised cruiser, easy at a cruising speed of 13 knots and capable of 15 knots when the schedule calls for it. Based on the French Riviera, she is ideally placed for the harbours and anchorages of the wider West Mediterranean, from the coves of the Cote d Azur to the beaches and hill towns of the Italian coast and its islands. With her classic Benetti lines, her sun soaked decks, her easy indoor and outdoor living and an experienced crew of seven, AURA offers an unhurried, genuinely welcoming charter from 115,000 euros per week. Every detail, from the provisioning and the wine to the daily itinerary, is quietly shaped by the crew around what each group most wants from their time at sea.
