ADELA is a 28.9 metre Sanlorenzo SD96, an Italian semi displacement motor yacht delivered in 2024 and drawn on the outside by Zuccon International Project. She belongs to Sanlorenzo’s SD line, boats built for range and quiet water rather than speed, with a low, horizontal profile and a beam carried well aft that gives her the volume of a larger yacht. For a family or a group who want to move through the West Mediterranean in comfort, from the Costa Smeralda across to the French Riviera, she is a well judged size: substantial and steady, yet easy to place in the smaller Sardinian anchorages.
What sets her apart is the layout. The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, a wide room with its own windows and a privacy that few yachts of this length can offer, while the four further cabins below give the rest of the party real space of their own. A crew of six runs her, a generous number at this size, and the SD96’s diesel electric propulsion keeps her calm and quiet underway, so conversation on the aft deck is never lost to the engines.
The interior is classic Sanlorenzo: warm timber, soft neutral fabrics and clean contemporary lines, lit by tall windows down both sides of the main deck. The main salon gathers low sofas around a central table with the sea in view on three sides, and a dining table sits a little forward for the whole group. Above, the sky lounge is the quiet favourite, a panoramic room under glass with its own dining setting and a door straight out to the deck, a place to read in the morning and to gather before dinner as the light goes.
Accommodation is for eleven guests across five cabins. The main deck master is the headline, but the two VIP doubles and two twin cabins below are finished to the same standard, warm timber and stone throughout, each with its own bathroom, and one twin carries a Pullman berth for a child or an eleventh guest. The flow suits two or three couples travelling together, or a family who want the children close but comfortable in their own quarters.
Outside, ADELA is built for the long Mediterranean day. The flybridge runs open across the top of the yacht with sun pads, shade and a bar, the main aft deck carries a large dining table for meals by the water, and the foredeck gives a private sun lounge away from the group. Her tender is an Axopar 37 chase boat, quick and capable in its own right, and a Seabob, a jet ski and a spread of watersports gear come with her for the days spent in the sea rather than beside it.
Her home water is the West Mediterranean, and she works it through the year. From Sardinia and Corsica across to Provence and the Riviera the coast gives clear anchorages, good harbours and short passages between them, and her range and steadiness make the longer crossings easy. With her main deck owner’s suite, her panoramic sky lounge and a crew of six, ADELA suits a group who want the space and service of a larger yacht in a boat that still slips into the prettiest corners of the coast.
