CYNTHIA is a 35 metre Maiora, delivered in 2010 and given a full refit in 2024, and she is built for a particular kind of charter: fast, active weeks along a coast with a lot of ground to cover. Where many yachts of her size settle for a gentle displacement cruise, the Maiora is a planing boat that holds a genuine 22 knot cruise, which changes how a week works. Islands that would be a half day apart come within an easy morning, and a group can chase the weather, the quiet anchorage or the lively town rather than being tied to whatever is closest.
Eight guests sleep in four cabins. The master is a wide double in warm timber with a seating corner, hull windows bringing the sea into the room and a private bathroom. A VIP double and two further guest doubles complete the layout below, each with an ensuite, finished in the same warm timber and cream so the cabins feel of a piece. A crew of six runs the yacht, a strong number for 35 metres, and the 2024 refit means she presents fresh throughout rather than showing the wear a hull of her age can carry.
The main deck is built around one warm, light salon. A long sofa and soft seating gather around a low table with glass down both sides, and full doors aft slide open to the shaded deck so the room runs straight out to the sea at anchor. A dining table sits forward under the same timber ceiling with the coast in view through dinner, and a second lounge forward gives the salon a quieter corner off the main seating. It is a straightforward, comfortable interior that suits the relaxed, active way she is meant to be used.
Outside, CYNTHIA spreads her guests across the decks. The main aft deck carries a full dining table under the flybridge overhang, shaded and open to the water astern, a step above the swim platform. The flybridge is the social heart of the yacht, running wide with its own dining table, a bar and sun lounging under and around the hardtop, high above the sea with a long view over the coast. The foredeck adds a quieter spot forward, and the swim platform keeps the water close for anyone who would rather be in the sea than above it.
A tender and a spread of watersports gear come with the yacht, from jet skis and towable toys to paddleboards and snorkelling equipment, launched off the stern for a day in the water. Her speed is the point: she is quick enough to run guests out to a distant island for lunch and back, or to move the whole holiday to a new stretch of coast overnight, which suits families and groups of friends who want to see more of a cruising ground in a week rather than circling the same few bays.
Her home water is Croatia and the Dalmatian coast, and she is well matched to it. The islands run in a long chain from Split and Hvar down to Dubrovnik, the anchorages are clear and close together, and the towns come alive in the evening, all of it easier to reach with a yacht that cruises at 22 knots. With her warm interior, her wide flybridge and her turn of speed, CYNTHIA suits a family or a group of friends who want an active week on one of the best coasts in the Mediterranean.
