D&D Yacht Charter

D&D is a 24 metre Ferretti from 2010, a quick and stylish Italian flybridge yacht that makes the most of the Greek islands and the East Mediterranean for a family or a small group of friends. She looks after eight guests across four cabins with a crew of four, and her appeal is the balance she strikes: compact and personal enough to feel like a private home on the water, yet fast and well finished enough to cover real distance and cruise in genuine comfort. Ferretti builds clean, well mannered boats, and D&D carries that character into an easy, sociable charter, composed under way and welcoming at anchor.

Her point of difference is that blend of pace and polish. The planing hull runs fast and rides cleanly, so the long hops between islands become short and simple and more of the week is spent swimming, exploring and settling into quiet bays. At rest she drops into a cove with the ease of a yacht built for leisure, her decks and flybridge turning a long afternoon into something unhurried. An attentive crew of four keeps the days running smoothly, from the first coffee on deck to a late dinner under the stars, and the result is a yacht that feels lively and quick when the schedule asks and calm and comfortable once the anchor is down.

Life in the open air centres on the flybridge. Raised above the main deck, it is the sociable heart of the yacht in the warm months, a bright open air lounge with soft seating, a bar, a dining table and a run of sun pads for lazy afternoons in the breeze. From the upper helm the skipper can pick a course between the islands while the party spreads out around him, and the view from up there over the clear Aegean is the best seat aboard. Below, the aft deck sets out an alfresco dining table in the shade a few steps from the sea, the foredeck carries a private run of sun pads, and the bathing platform at the stern opens the yacht to the water for swimming and the tender and toys.

Inside, the main deck is warm and bright, finished in pale oak with soft neutral upholstery and large windows that draw the sea close from every seat. The main saloon gathers around comfortable sofas with a low table at one end and an elegant dining area at the other, a single bright room that opens aft to the deck so the inside and the outside flow together. Forward, a raised bridge carries the helm and a further seat with a commanding view ahead, a characterful space that recalls the yacht’s seagoing roots. The warm wood and gentle light run from room to room, and the interior feels settled and welcoming, open and airy when the sun is high and snug once the evening draws in.

Accommodation is arranged over four cabins for eight guests, set below the main deck where the motion is gentlest. The master suite takes a generous, private position with a wide bed, warm oak joinery and its own ensuite, while a VIP, a double and a twin cabin, each quiet and comfortable with their own facilities, look after the rest of the party. It is a flexible plan that suits a family or a group of friends, the twin ready for children or younger guests sharing, every cabin finished in the same warm oak. Quick, stylish and attentively crewed, D&D is a relaxed and genuinely enjoyable way to charter the Greek islands with the whole family kept close.
