E3 is a 26 metre Ferretti, an Italian flybridge motor yacht from one of the best known names on the water, delivered in 2019 and given a full refit in 2025. She is a bright, contemporary yacht, wide glazing and pale interiors giving her a light and current feel, with a genuine turn of speed to match. For a couple or a family who want to cover ground around Sardinia and still anchor somewhere quiet by early afternoon, with eight guests across four cabins, she is a well judged and good looking size.
She is built to move. A clean planing hull lets her cruise comfortably in the low twenties and reach higher when asked, yet she stays level and quiet enough for the group to talk on the flybridge underway. That pace is the point of her: it turns a long run between anchorages into a short one, so a week aboard can take in more of the coast without ever feeling rushed, with time to swim before lunch and reach the next bay before the light goes.
Inside, the design is calm and current. The main salon runs bright and open, a long grey sofa under wide glazing that keeps the sea in view on both sides, warm timber underfoot and a soft, contemporary palette throughout. A round dining table sits forward under full height glass, and the galley is finished to the same standard in pale surfaces and marble, a sign of how completely she was prepared for looking after guests rather than for private use.
Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins, all with their own bathrooms. The master is a wide double set low in the hull with a hull window at the waterline, the VIP takes a comfortable double under an oval porthole, and two further cabins, including a twin, complete the layout. It suits two couples with children, or four friends sharing, with the master and VIP giving the two lead cabins real space and the twin taking children or friends.
Outside is where a Ferretti of this generation earns its keep. The flybridge is large for her length, an open deck of sun pads, soft seating and a dining table under the sky with the helm forward, the place the group gathers from breakfast to sunset. The foredeck gives a private sun lounge away from the group, the aft cockpit sits level with the sea for meals in the shade, and a tender and a spread of water toys come with her for the days in the water.
Her home water is Sardinia and the Costa Smeralda, and she is well matched to it. From the granite anchorages of the Maddalena archipelago along the emerald coast to Porto Cervo, the water is clear, the anchorages sit close together and the towns come alive after dark, and her speed makes the runs between them easy. With her bright contemporary interior, her genuine pace and a crew of four, E3 offers a stylish and practical way to cruise one of the finest coasts in the Mediterranean.
