About PANDION

Heesen built PANDION in 1995, and three decades later she still does something almost nothing else on the charter market at 37 metres will do: she gets up and goes. An aluminium hull, a planing bottom and a pair of MTUs give her a top end in the mid-thirties, and a 2023 refit means the interior no longer dates the performance.

That combination is the whole argument for her. Most yachts of this length in the eastern Mediterranean are displacement boats doing ten or twelve knots, which turns a hop between Greek islands into a half-day passage. PANDION does it before lunch. For a charter party that wants to see the Cyclades properly rather than pick two anchorages and stay put, the difference is not marginal.

Her interior is a period piece in the best sense, and it has been kept honest rather than gutted. Cream and tan leather, satin nickel detailing, mirrored columns and burr panels: the design language of a mid-nineties fast yacht, refreshed rather than erased. The main salon runs wide, with a pair of long chaises facing each other across the floor, a screen set into the joinery and glass doors aft that open onto the deck. Forward, the formal dining table sits under soft drawn curtains, laid with linen and low white flowers beneath framed black and white photography.

Up the spiral stair, the sky lounge is the quiet room. A curved tan leather settee follows the line of the deckhouse under angled panoramic glass, with the coast sliding past on three sides. It is the space guests migrate to once the sun drops.

Ten guests sleep in four cabins. The master takes the width of the hull with a king berth in a wrapped tan leather surround, a settee running along one side, a full wardrobe wall opposite, and an ensuite built around a black marble jacuzzi bathtub. Two guest doubles follow in matching grey lacquered panels with tan leather headboards, and a twin cabin completes the arrangement, its two berths flanking a shared nightstand.

Outside, the aft deck is the working heart of the yacht: a full dining table for the whole party, sunpads to one side and the spiral stair curling up to the deck above. Her transom drops to a swim platform that doubles as the launch point for the toys, and the platform sees a lot of use.

She carries a Novurania 470 tender, two Sea-Doo Spark jet skis, two Seabobs, two kayaks, two paddleboards, wakeboard, kneeboard, adult and child water skis, a three-person banana, a tube and full snorkelling kit. Seven crew look after ten guests, which is a generous ratio at this size and shows in the service.

Her twin MTUs give a range of around 2,000 nautical miles at a relaxed twelve knots, so the speed is a choice rather than a constraint: run hard between islands, then throttle back and cover real distance when the itinerary calls for it. Few yachts of her vintage offer both.

PANDION works the eastern Mediterranean and the Adriatic in both seasons rather than repositioning, so she is reliably available in Greece, Montenegro and the Croatian islands. For a group that values pace and reach over sheer volume, she remains a genuinely distinctive option.
