About PISCES

Most 46-metre yachts ask their guests to choose between range and comfort. Pisces was drawn to refuse the question. Delta Marine built her in Seattle in 2011 on a semi-displacement GRP hull with zero-speed stabilisers and 2,700 nautical miles in the tanks, then a 2021 refit brought the interior and the systems up to current standard. What she offers now is a yacht that can cross to a genuinely remote anchorage and still feel like a hotel when she gets there.

Her cruising programme says the rest. She spends her summers in the South Pacific and her winters through South East Asia and the Indian Ocean, which puts her among a small number of charter yachts of this size working water that most of the fleet never reaches. That is a range decision, and it shapes everything else about her: an elevator serving every deck, air purification by ionisation, exhaust scrubbers on the generators, and a crew of ten for eleven guests.

The main deck holds the yacht’s best idea. The master is full-beam and forward, with its own lounge, a writing desk and windows at eye level rather than portholes underfoot. It is a layout usually reserved for yachts ten metres longer, and it means the principal guests never share a corridor with anyone. Four further cabins sit below, three doubles and a twin, each en suite in polished mahogany and marble, each with the same quality of joinery as the deck above.

Aft of the master the main salon opens across the full beam, pale upholstery against cherry panelling, sofas set along both sides and a formal dining table beyond. One deck up, the skylounge is the room where charter weeks actually happen: a full bar, curved seating, blinds that drop for a film, and doors straight out to the shaded upper deck.

Outside she is built for the water rather than for photographs of it. The sundeck carries a jacuzzi with a swim-up bar and a screen set into the bulkhead opposite. Forward of it, a treadmill, gym equipment and an eco-friendly golf driving range use deck space that on most yachts holds nothing at all. Aft, the transom opens to a swim platform that anchors an inflatable dock system with a netted sea pool, and the toy inventory that hangs off it is deep: jet skis, Seabobs, an e-foil, surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks and full scuba equipment for certified divers. A 27-foot Robalo centre console on twin 200hp Mercurys handles the fishing, the diving runs and the long tender rides to shore.

Dining moves around her rather than staying put. There is the formal room inside, a round table under cover on the aft deck, a laid table on the upper deck at sunset, and a bar counter on the sundeck. On a yacht chartering the Pacific, where dinner is often the reason to stop somewhere, that flexibility earns its space.

She carries her history quietly. Delivered as Time For Us, later 10, Just J’s and Monarch, she has been Pisces since her most recent ownership, and the 2021 work left her presenting as a considerably newer boat than her build year suggests.
