About Plan B

Plan B is a seventy-three-metre motor yacht built by HDW in Kiel and delivered in 2012. With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she was designed for extended cruising in the world’s most sought-after waters, combining the structural integrity of a purpose-built ocean-going vessel with interiors that balance contemporary aesthetics and traditional warmth.

The exterior lines are understated and purposeful, with generous freeboard and a long waterline that give Plan B a stable, comfortable ride even in open-sea conditions. Her beam of twelve metres creates voluminous interior spaces across five decks, linked by both a central staircase and an elevator for effortless access throughout the yacht.

On the main deck, the formal saloon opens onto an aft dining terrace through full-height glass doors. The interior palette draws on natural timbers, soft leathers, and neutral fabrics to create a warm but uncluttered atmosphere. The dining table seats twelve, and a separate bar and lounge area provide space for quieter conversation or an aperitif before dinner. Forward, the full-beam owner’s suite occupies a privileged position with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views to port, starboard, and ahead.

The lower deck houses seven additional guest cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Layouts include doubles, twins, and convertible configurations, making Plan B equally suited to family holidays and corporate entertaining. Every cabin is finished with the same attention to material and proportion as the public areas, and each enjoys individual climate control and a full entertainment system.

Plan B’s wellness programme is centred on a dedicated spa area that includes a massage and treatment room, a dry sauna, and a fully equipped gym. Guests who prefer open-air exercise can use the sundeck’s forward area, which is large enough for morning yoga or circuit training with views over the bow.

The sundeck itself is one of Plan B’s defining spaces. A pool sits at its centre, flanked by sun loungers and a wet bar. Aft of the pool, an outdoor dining table seats the full complement of guests, shaded by a retractable awning. The upper aft deck extends the entertaining space further, with a second lounge and a barbecue area that comes alive on warm evenings at anchor.

At water level, the beach club opens through a fold-down transom door to create a private platform for swimming, diving, and launching water toys. The tender garage houses a selection of craft and equipment, jet skis, paddleboards, snorkelling gear, and inflatables, ensuring every guest finds an activity to match the anchorage.

Navigation and safety systems are fully updated, with zero-speed stabilisers ensuring comfort whether under way or lying at anchor in an exposed roadstead.nnA crew of twenty delivers a service ratio that keeps operations invisible and anticipation high. Plan B cruises at thirteen knots with a maximum speed of seventeen, and her four-thousand-five-hundred-nautical-mile range means she can cross between charter grounds without relying on fuel stops. Currently positioned in the Western Mediterranean, she is available for weekly charter from eight hundred thousand euros, a rare opportunity to experience a yacht of this scale and pedigree in some of Europe’s finest cruising waters.
