SARASTAR is a 60.2-metre Mondomarine motor yacht that makes an immediate statement: a dark navy hull, sculpted aluminium lines and an aesthetic that is uncompromising in its personality. Built in 2017 and designed inside and out by Luca Dini Design and Architecture, she remains the largest yacht ever produced by the Savona shipyard and the flagship of the Mondomarine range. Her full aluminium hull and superstructure, powered by twin MTU engines capable of exceeding 20 knots, give her the performance of a fast displacement yacht alongside the elegance that her design demands. Inside, SARASTAR is an explosion of colour, texture and artistry that sets her apart from the restrained neutrals typical of yachts her size. The main salon immediately arrests attention with backlit pear-green onyx walls, high-gloss floors and a custom Baldi chandelier crafted from amber-coloured crystal scales hanging above a 12-person formal dining table, a statement piece that alone would define most yachts. A white onyx bar divides the dining and lounge areas, and Lorenzo Malfatti’s wall feature enclosing the staircase adds yet another layer of artistic ambition. Natural light floods the interior through large deck skylights, and a stunning chrome staircase with back-lit onyx connects the three guest decks. The skylounge on the upper deck is a full-beam entertainment space flooded with light from panoramic windows, with a single-piece lit onyx dining surface and a high-end Kaleidescape system for evenings in style. Above, the sundeck is equally theatrical: an oversized open-plan space with a glass-enclosed bar, a spacious lounge, a workout area with panoramic views and SARASTAR’s unforgettable full-beam cactus garden, a desert garden at sea. The expansive foredeck can transform into a helipad, a dance floor or a sunbathing oasis depending on the moment. The beach club at water level opens dramatically through skylights and provides a private waterside retreat with seating and sun loungers, transitioning directly to the sea. Accommodation spans six beautifully designed suites for 12 guests. The owner’s suite on the main deck is a masterclass in high-end design, featuring deep blue onyx, a plush velvet ceiling, fold-down balconies on both sides and his-and-her bathrooms connected by a walk-in shower in deep blue marble. Four further doubles and a twin are each styled with a different colour accent, ensuring SARASTAR delivers a cohesive but eclectic experience from bow to stern. She is available in the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter, served by a crew of 15. SARASTAR’s performance credentials are equally compelling from a practical standpoint: at 20 knots she crosses passages quickly and efficiently, opening up itinerary options that slower displacement yachts cannot match, while her range of 4,100 nautical miles gives the freedom to venture well beyond the standard charter corridors. Her 15-strong crew delivers service that matches the drama of the yacht herself, and the feedback from charter guests consistently highlights the combination of exhilarating design, high-energy atmosphere and genuinely attentive personal care that makes a week aboard SARASTAR unlike anything else in the fleet. She is available for charter with Northrop and Johnson, with summer programmes in the Mediterranean and winter programmes in the Caribbean.
