About Seakid II

Most 56-metre yachts have one owner’s suite and five guest cabins built around it. SEAKID II has two full-beam master suites, and the difference in how a charter week runs is immediate: two principal couples, or a family split across generations, each get the same volume, the same windows, the same standing in the layout.

Benetti built her in steel in 2013, and a refit completing in 2025 has brought both suites and the public rooms fully current under Central Yacht, who handled exterior and interior design together, which shows in how consistently the material palette carries from the bridge deck down to the cabins. At 962 GT she has real volume for her length, and a 5,000-nautical-mile range under Lloyd’s Register classification means she is not limited to a single sea for the season.

Both master suites run the full beam forward and amidships, glazed enough that neither feels like a compromise relative to the other, curved corner windows, its own sitting area, and joinery finished in a slightly different tone so the two rooms read as related rather than identical. A further four cabins, a mix of doubles, twins and convertible berths, bring total sleeping capacity to 12 guests, looked after by a crew of 15 that includes the elevator operation between decks most yachts her size still ask guests to walk.

The public rooms are built for groups who want options rather than one long lounge. A backlit bar anchors one end of the main deck, a formal dining room seats the full party under a sculpted ceiling detail, and a separate media lounge gives guests somewhere to watch a film without commandeering the main salon. On deck, an aft dining table under cover handles group meals outdoors, while the sundeck carries its own jacuzzi and loungers, set apart from the working areas of the yacht entirely.

A beach club at the stern extends the swim platform into a proper social space rather than a transit point to the tenders, and it is here, more than in any single cabin, that SEAKID II’s refit shows its intent: this is a yacht built to be lived on all day, not just slept in.

She charters at €300,000 per week and cruises Greece and the wider Mediterranean through summer; winter cruising grounds are available on inquiry, worth raising early for anyone planning an off-season charter.

For groups who keep running into the same limitation on other 56-metre yachts, one owner’s suite forcing an awkward hierarchy among the principal guests, SEAKID II removes the problem at the layout stage rather than trying to compensate for it with amenities elsewhere.

The two-suite layout also changes how a charter broker plans the week itself: rather than negotiating who takes the owner’s cabin, both principal parties simply have one each, which in practice removes one of the more delicate conversations that comes with chartering a large yacht as a shared group. It is a small structural decision that resolves a problem most 56-metre yachts leave for the guests to sort out among themselves.
