VENTUM MARIS is a 65.7-metre motor yacht from Amels’ acclaimed Limited Editions 212 series, built at the Dutch yard’s Vlissingen facility and delivered in 2011, with a comprehensive refit bringing her up to date in 2025. Her exterior design is the work of Tim Heywood, whose signature curves lend the topsides their elegant, sculpted profile, while the interior is a refined creation by Winch Design. The result is a beautifully balanced yacht that has earned a strong charter reputation and offers the volume and amenities of a much larger vessel.
She accommodates twelve guests across seven cabins. The full-beam master suite, located forward on the main deck, is a generous retreat complete with its own private lobby, salon, office and walk-in wardrobe. Two VIP cabins occupy the upper deck, while further doubles and twins are arranged on the lower deck, and a glass elevator serves all guest decks, making movement around the yacht effortless and ensuring wheelchair accessibility throughout. The accommodation has been designed to suit families and groups alike, with flexible configurations and abundant natural light from large picture windows.
VENTUM MARIS is defined by a strong indoor-outdoor connection. On the main deck, full-height windows with slim, unobtrusive mullions and a radiant, glass-enclosed dining room make the most of natural light, and the formal dining area flows seamlessly to the aft deck through curved sliding glass doors. The upper deck offers a further al fresco dining option, perfect for open-air meals, while the sky lounge serves as a refined social hub with its sit-up bar and panoramic windows.
The sun deck is a particular highlight, given over to a full-width sky gym supplemented by an adjoining steam room, easily reached by glass elevator or spiral stair. Elsewhere on the exterior, guests will find a counter-current swimming pool, a wet bar, a barbecue and an outdoor cinema projector with a drop-down screen, ensuring there is always something to do, whether the mood calls for activity or relaxation. Large, uncluttered deck spaces throughout provide a multitude of options for entertaining and dining.
As an RYA-approved watersports centre, VENTUM MARIS carries a deep and varied collection of toys, and her crew are well placed to help guests of all abilities get the most from them. The inventory includes jet skis, an eFoil and a flyboard for the adventurous, alongside kayaks, paddleboards, towables, wakeboards and water skis, with snorkelling gear and rendezvous diving available for exploring beneath the surface. Three tenders make trips ashore easy and comfortable.
Built around a displacement steel hull with an aluminium superstructure and fitted with stabilisers for comfort at anchor and underway, she is a stable, seakindly platform. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she cruises at around fourteen knots, reaches a top speed of roughly seventeen knots and offers a range of some five thousand nautical miles, well suited to relaxed island-hopping itineraries.
A talented crew of seventeen ensures that every need is anticipated and exceeded. Operating principally across the western and eastern Mediterranean, including the Italian and French Rivieras, Croatia and Greece, VENTUM MARIS delivers the polished, understated experience that defines the Amels name, making her an excellent choice for both intimate family gatherings and larger celebrations.
