WHITEHAVEN is a 25 metre Canados, an Italian flybridge motor yacht from one of Rome’s oldest yards, launched in 2001 and kept carefully up to date by a full refit in 2022. She is a warm, well run yacht built for easy days along the coast, with a classic white hull, a modern dark hardtop over the flybridge and an interior of glowing cherry timber. For a family or a group of friends who want to cruise the Italian coast in comfort, with eight guests across four cabins, she is a generous and well kept size.
Her point of difference is how much of the day she gives to the outdoors. Canados laid her out with three separate dining areas, on the flybridge under the hardtop, in the salon for cooler evenings and in the shade of the aft deck, so the group can always find the right place to eat as the light and the breeze change. The flybridge is the social heart of her, an open teak deck of sun pads, seating and a table set out around a long view over the anchorage.
She is also built to be comfortable at sea. A full set of stabilisers works both underway and at anchor, so the crossings between bays stay level and the nights lie quiet even when a swell rolls into the anchorage. It is the kind of detail that separates a relaxing week from a tiring one, and on a yacht of this size it is a real luxury, letting guests move around, dine and sleep in ease whatever the sea is doing outside.
Inside, the mood is warm and traditional. The main salon runs in cherry timber, two facing sofas gathered under wide windows that keep the coast in view on both sides, with glass doors opening aft so the living space flows straight out to the deck at anchor. A dining table sits forward for the whole party, and a second seating area gathers around a round table by the windows, a quieter corner to break away with a drink as the anchorage settles into the evening.
Accommodation is for eight guests across four cabins, all with their own bathrooms. The master is a wide double in warm cherry joinery with a dresser and long windows at the waterline, the VIP takes a refined double with a padded headboard from the refit, and two twin cabins complete the layout with single beds for children or friends sharing. The mix of doubles and twins suits a family travelling together as easily as two or three couples sharing the yacht.
Her home water is the Italian coast, and an experienced captain who knows it well is part of what she offers. From the bays of the Bay of Naples and the towns of the Amalfi Coast to the islands that sit off them, the anchorages are close together, the water is clear and the life ashore comes alive after dark. With her three dining areas, her full stabilisation and a warm cherry interior, WHITEHAVEN offers a comfortable and sociable way to cruise one of the most beautiful coasts in Italy.
