Cantiere delle Marche / Cantiere delle Marche RJ 115
Cantiere delle Marche built the RJ 115 as a 35-metre explorer yacht that merges traditional Italian craftsmanship with proven long-range engineering. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski, her profile balances a muscular displacement hull with refined proportions that avoid the heavy look common at this length. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure provide structural integrity for extended blue-water passages, while the twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines deliver a transatlantic range of 5,500 nautical miles at 9 knots.
Five guest cabins accommodate ten passengers across a layout that places a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, well separated from guest quarters on the lower deck. Two pullman berths add flexibility for families or additional crew. Seven crew members operate the vessel from four dedicated cabins forward, ensuring professional service without intruding on guest privacy.
Paszkowski’s exterior treatment uses extensive glass in the bulwarks and an open stern platform that draws natural light deep into the interior living spaces and creates a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor areas. The sun deck provides a private retreat with dedicated seating, while the main aft deck serves as the primary social space for dining and relaxation at anchor.
With a 7.50-metre beam and 313-tonne displacement, the RJ 115 carries 45,530 litres of fuel and features zero-speed stabilisers for comfort in all sea states. She is built to order at the CdM yard in Ancona, Italy, with each hull customised to the owner’s brief.

Twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines rated at 533 kW each drive the RJ 115 to a maximum speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots at 1,800 rpm. The displacement hull shape prioritises efficiency over sprint speed, and it shows in the numbers: 45,530 litres of fuel translate to a 5,500-nautical-mile range at 9 knots, enough to cross the Atlantic without stopping. ZF W650 gearboxes with a 4.057:1 ratio provide smooth power transfer, while a 75 kW bow thruster and stern thruster handle close-quarters manoeuvring in marina berths and at anchor. Two 55 kW Kohler generators supply hotel-load power, and electric zero-speed stabilisers keep roll motion in check both under way and at rest.
Francesco Paszkowski shaped the RJ 115’s exterior around a design philosophy that references classic yacht proportions while incorporating modern functional demands. The tense profile line runs forward from a raked bow to a sweeping aft section, with glazed bulwarks that lighten the visual mass of the superstructure. The open stern is a defining feature, creating a beach-club area that connects directly to the waterline when the transom door drops. Three distinct outdoor living areas are distributed across the sun deck, upper aft deck, and main aft deck, each serving a different function from private sunbathing to group dining. The aluminium superstructure allows for large window openings that flood interior spaces with natural light, while the steel hull below the waterline provides the structural rigidity needed for extended offshore passages.
The RJ 115 accommodates ten guests in five cabins, with two additional pullman berths available when needed. The full-beam owner’s suite occupies a prime position on the main deck, offering panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows, a walk-in wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom. Four guest cabins on the lower deck include two doubles and two twins, each with private bathrooms and individual climate control. Seven crew members are housed in four cabins in the forward section, with a crew mess and galley that operate independently from guest areas. The interior volume benefits from the 7.50-metre beam, which provides generous room widths that feel proportionate rather than cramped at this length.
The main salon serves as the central living space, with a lounge area forward and a dining zone aft that opens onto the main deck terrace through wide glass doors. The upper deck houses a sky lounge or secondary helm station depending on the owner’s configuration, with direct access to the upper aft deck for outdoor entertaining. The sun deck is a private area with a jacuzzi option, sunpads, and a wet bar, shielded from wind by the mast arch and hardtop overhang. Below, the open stern platform doubles as a launching point for tenders and water toys stored in the garage, which accommodates a jet tender up to 4.5 metres alongside personal watercraft. The engine room is accessed from the crew corridor and provides standing-height maintenance access around both main engines.
Cantiere delle Marche builds each RJ 115 to order at its shipyard in Ancona, on Italy’s Adriatic coast. The yard’s production model allows significant customisation of interior layout, material selection, and equipment specification while maintaining the structural consistency of a proven hull form. Classification under RINA ensures compliance with international standards for structural integrity, machinery, and safety systems. The 2.41-metre draught at full load keeps anchorage options broad across the Mediterranean and Caribbean, while the 6,330-litre fresh water capacity with watermaker support enables extended self-sufficient cruising. Black and grey water tanks totalling 14,170 litres meet environmental regulations in sensitive marine areas. Two delivered hulls, Pazienza and Stellamar, provide real-world operational data that informs each new build, reducing the risk inherent in commissioning an untested design.
