The Damen YS 53 is a 53-metre Yacht Support vessel that redefines the concept of a superyacht’s companion. Built at Damen Yachting’s facility in Antalya, Turkey, the YS 53 is designed to shadow a superyacht, carrying tenders, toys, vehicles, dive equipment, and additional crew, freeing the mother ship from the constraints of storage and logistics.
Powered by twin Rolls-Royce MTU engines producing a combined 6,000 horsepower, the YS 53 reaches 19 knots and offers a range of 5,000 nautical miles, ensuring she can keep pace with and travel ahead of any superyacht worldwide. Her commercial-grade construction and classification provide reliability and capability far beyond a conventional yacht.
Damen Yachting handles all design, naval architecture, and engineering in-house. The vessel accommodates eight guests in four cabins, with quarters for ten crew plus captain. A 15-tonne deck crane and expansive cargo deck provide the operational capability that makes the YS 53 an indispensable partner for owners with ambitious cruising programmes, extensive toy collections, or expedition ambitions.
