The D29 wears her redesign in every panel line.
She takes over from the D28 as the shipyard’s open day boat, and the changes run well below the waterline. A new hull generation brings a finer entry and a shallower planing surface, cutting a cleaner path through a chop, while extensions either side of the outboards add buoyancy aft, enough to carry the raised sunbed and swim platform without loading the stern. The outboards themselves sit hidden inside a transom box rather than hanging in the open, and the detailing carries the same restraint: sunken cleats finished in stainless strips, recessed fenders, and trim in stainless and carbon rather than chrome. It is a hull built to look fast standing still.
Two outboards are all the D29 needs to feel quick.
A 350hp Mercury comes standard, with 300hp Volvo Penta and Yamaha options for owners who want to tune the character of the ride. Cruising comes in at 25 knots, with 40 knots available at full throttle, enough for a brisk crossing without turning the deck into a washing machine. A 420 litre fuel capacity gives a range of around 200 nautical miles, useful reach for a day boat that is just as likely to cover real distance as hold station off a beach. Light displacement, close to 4 tonnes, keeps her nimble, and a shallow 0.6 metre draught opens up shallows a deeper hulled yacht would have to avoid.
Life on the D29 happens on one open deck.
A bow lounge sits forward under cover, a sociable spot for guests to settle in before the boat is even underway, and an aft dinette does double duty, seating the group for lunch then folding flat into a second sunbed for the afternoon. Up to eight day guests fit comfortably across the layout, moving freely between bow, cockpit and swim platform without a crew to manage. That absence of crew is deliberate: the D29 is built to be run by her owner, start to finish, which keeps the day simple and the running costs light. It is a boat for people who want the sea, not the staffing.
Below deck, the D29 keeps things honest rather than ornate.
Two cabins sleep four, built around a double berth with standing headroom and a sink unit, enough for an owner who wants the option of staying aboard without asking the layout to do more than it should. The approach favours clean surfaces and sensible stowage over show, in keeping with a yard that has built its reputation on function first. For overnight use at anchor or a weekend away from the marina, it does exactly what a day boat’s cabin needs to do, no more, no less.
The D29 is where an owner’s de Antonio story usually begins.
Naval architecture, exterior lines and engineering all come from the shipyard’s own in-house team, keeping the model coherent across every detail rather than stitched together from outside specialists. Pricing starts at 150,000 EUR, positioning her as an accessible entry into The Yacht Collection’s range of Spanish built day boats, and the running side is just as straightforward: no crew to carry, a shallow draught that widens where she can go, and two engine options to match the way she will actually be used. She is a serious first yacht, not a compromise dressed up as one.
