Twelve knots at cruise, seventeen flat out, and a 4,500 nautical mile range that turns ocean crossings into a single leg.
Twin MTU 12V 4000 diesels, 2,000 horsepower apiece, drive her at a pace built for distance rather than drama. A steel displacement hull carries 100,000 litres of fuel, enough to cross the Atlantic without a stop, and the lower cruising speed keeps consumption modest for a yacht of this size. It is a deliberate departure for a yard that made its name on speed. Overmarine chose composure and range for the Oceano line, and the 60 shows the gains: a quieter, steadier ride at sea, lower running costs over a long season, and the confidence to plan a genuine ocean passage rather than a string of short coastal hops.
Alberto Mancini drew her lines, and the result reads sporting despite sixty metres of steel.
A steel hull keeps the structure strong and the ride settled in a seaway, while an aluminium superstructure above the waterline trims weight and keeps her more efficient to build and to run. Mancini’s exterior drawing favours straight, taut lines over bulk, a deliberate echo of Mangusta’s sportier open range carried onto a much larger canvas. She is certified to CE Design Category A, rated for open ocean use, a classification that matches her range and her intent. The result is a profile that reads purposeful rather than ornamental, a yacht styled to look as capable as she is.
Five cabins and an owner’s suite set on the main deck, the quietest, steadiest point aboard.
The layout sleeps 12 guests in private, comfortable quarters, with Overmarine’s own design team shaping each cabin to the owner’s brief rather than a fixed catalogue scheme. Two separate saloons, one on the main deck and a second above, give guests room to spread out rather than share a single space for every occasion. Natural light runs generously through both, a function of the yacht’s scale as much as her design. With 14 crew aboard to run the operation, the owner’s suite and guest cabins are supported by a service structure built for a demanding season of use, not an occasional cruise.
A three sided beach club turns the stern into the yacht’s real living room.
Open to the water on three sides, it blurs the line between yacht and shoreline, the kind of space that gets used every day rather than admired once. A gymnasium gives guests a reason to stay active at sea, and a dedicated garage stows a tender and water toys out of sight until they are needed. Day capacity runs to 20 guests, well beyond the 12 who sleep aboard, making her as suited to entertaining for an afternoon as to hosting a family for a season. It is social infrastructure built in from the start, not bolted on afterwards.
A flagship in production since 2023, built by a yard with three decades of performance pedigree behind her.
She measures 60 metres length overall on a 10.5 metre beam, drawing 3.2 metres, modest enough for a wide range of marinas given her size. Twin MTU engines and a steel hull keep running costs and maintenance predictable for an owner used to Mangusta’s quality but ready for a different kind of yacht. New, she is priced in the region of 80 million euros, positioning her among the larger private builds rather than a series production yacht. For an owner stepping up from open water performance boats into long range ownership, the Oceano 60 offers Overmarine’s engineering discipline applied to an entirely different brief.
