The ClubSwan 50 is where Nautor Swan tests the ideas that later reach its cruising range. Juan Kouyoumdjian drew a 16.74 metre hull built in full pre-preg and Sprint carbon, and the discipline shows in the numbers: 8,250 kg empty, with the entire structural package including the keel fin coming in a little over 2,000 kg and the fin itself at 160 kg of high-modulus carbon.
What separates it from a pure one-design racer is the deck. Transverse jib tracks on the coachroof and six racing winches serve a full crew upwind, yet the four winches around the helm control every function on board, so with a furling headsail a couple can sail the boat properly and gybe without touching the runners. Cushions with rigid backs turn the same cockpit into a lounging space, and there is a large aft lazarette and a forward sail locker for the gear that a weekend away needs.
Below, the standard layout gives an owner cabin forward with an island berth, separate WC and shower compartments, a full galley to starboard and a double guest cabin to port. A three-cabin option is offered. The forward berth lifts out for sail stowage when the boat goes racing.
For a buyer, the fleet is well documented and actively raced, and boats from 2017 and 2018 have been changing hands between roughly 525,000 and 980,000 euros.
