The Manhattan 52 answers a question that dogs every small flybridge yacht: how to keep the volume without losing the line. At 17.21 metres on a 4.87 metre beam this is a compact boat by Manhattan standards, and Sunseeker spent the space on living rather than on statement.

Curved glass runs down the superstructure, doing two things at once. It keeps the profile low and unbroken from the bow, and it pours daylight into the main deck, so the saloon reads as larger than its footprint. The galley sits aft on the upper level, opening onto the cockpit, which turns cooking into part of the entertaining rather than something done out of sight.

Forward, the bow is given over to seating and a sunbathing area of a size usually reserved for bigger yachts. Aft, the cockpit stays open. The two ends work independently, so a group can spread out along the boat instead of competing for a single social space.

A shallow 1.26 metre draft opens anchorages a deeper hull cannot reach, and 2,200 litres of fuel gives useful legs for a 27 tonne yacht. Production has ended, so the Manhattan 52 is now a used market proposition. Boats from the late 2010s are the ones worth chasing, and they hold their value on the strength of that main deck.
