MIO BARCO is a Princess Y78, a fast and easy motor yacht based in Mallorca and cruising the Balearic islands. She measures a little under 25 metres and runs on a planing hull that will hold a quick pace when the group wants to cover ground, yet she carries the volume and the warm timber interior of a larger yacht. Fitted with stabilisers that work at anchor and underway, she stays comfortable whether she is crossing to Ibiza or lying off a calm bay for the day.
Eight guests sleep in four cabins. The owner takes a full beam master amidships on the lower deck, a large bed set between hull windows on both sides with a dressing area and a bathroom of its own. Forward is a VIP double under a curved window line, and there is a further double and a twin, each with its own bathroom, so the yacht works well for a family or two couples. A crew of three runs her and keeps the service quiet and out of the guest areas.
The main deck is a single bright salon in warm timber and cream. An L shaped sofa and a facing settee gather around a low table at the aft end, where full glass doors open to the shaded cockpit and let the room run out to the sea. Forward, beside the galley, a separate dining table seats the whole group under large windows, so meals stay on the main deck with the coast in view rather than tucked away below.
Outside she gives her guests three clear places to settle. The aft cockpit carries a dining table and a wraparound sofa under the flybridge overhang, shaded and a step above the swim platform. The flybridge above holds the upper helm, a run of seating and open sun pads for the middle of the day, and the foredeck is kept private with a large sun pad set into the bow. The swim platform drops to the water for easy access after a swim.
A tender and a set of sea toys come with the yacht, and the crew launch them off the platform for guests who want to be in the water. The Balearics suit a yacht like this: Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera all sit within easy reach, the calas of the south coast are a short run apart, and MIO BARCO has the speed to move between them and the comfort to make a long day aboard feel easy. She suits a family or a group of friends who want a warm, well run yacht at a sensible size for the islands.
Below the modern lines the interior keeps a classic, warm character, timber joinery and soft neutral fabrics that feel settled rather than showy, and the layout puts the living spaces where the light is. It is the kind of yacht that reads as comfortable the moment you step aboard, easy to spend a week on without ever feeling short of room, and quick enough that a change of island never turns into a long day at sea. For a first charter or a return to the Balearics she makes an easy, unfussy choice.
