AMAREA is a brand new Lagoon 65, a 20 metre sailing catamaran joining the charter market for the 2026 season and offering a fresh, current take on the cruising cat. She pairs the space and stability that have made the Lagoon 65 a favourite with a calm, minimalist interior and a generous run of deck, and a crew of three keeps her easy and personal. For a family or a group of friends who want to sail the Balearics in comfort without the scale or cost of a superyacht, she is a well judged size.
Her point of difference is the owner cabin. Set apart from the guest quarters, it is a bright, private room with a large bed, a dedicated desk and a long hull window, and it opens with direct access onto the deck for uninterrupted sea views, a genuine retreat that few catamarans of this size can offer. The three further cabins are queen doubles, each with its own bathroom, finished in the same restful palette so the accommodation reads as one considered whole.
Inside, the main deck is one bright, open room. The saloon, the galley and the dining area sit together on a single level, wrapped in glass so the coast stays in view all round, and the design is deliberately spare, pale timber, soft neutrals and clean lines that let the light and the sea do the work. A dining table and banquette sit by a sliding door to the cockpit, so the group can eat inside or open the whole space to the deck when she settles at anchor.
Four double cabins suit four couples travelling together, or a family who want the children comfortable in their own space, and the layout across the two hulls keeps everyone close without anyone on top of one another. Each cabin has good light and a hull window near the water, and the owner cabin gives the lead couple a room genuinely apart, a quality that sets her above the standard charter catamaran of her length.
Outside is generous for a 20 metre boat. The aft cockpit is a shaded outdoor lounge level with the sea, the flybridge carries seating and a table for meals and drinks up top under the sun or the stars, and the foredeck between the hulls gives an open sun lounge with the water close on three sides. A tender, an e-foil, a Seabob type unit, sea scooters, paddle boards, a kayak and towable toys come with her, launched off the stern for the days spent swimming and playing off the yacht.
Her home water is the Balearics, sailed out of Mallorca, and she is well matched to it. From the quiet calas of the north coast to the clear anchorages of Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, the islands sit within easy reach, the water is bright and the towns come alive after dark, and her shallow draft and steady twin hulls let her lie in close to the beach. Brand new, comfortable and easy to run, AMAREA suits a group who want a relaxed, sociable week under sail on one of the finest cruising grounds in the Mediterranean.
