S/Y Armen is a Fountaine Pajot sailing catamaran, launched in 2024 and measuring just under nineteen metres. She carries eight guests in four double cabins with a crew of three, and she brings together the space and stability of a modern cruising catamaran with genuine sailing ability. Her wide beam and shallow draft make her easy to live aboard and quick to reach the sort of shallow, sheltered coves that keep a charter week relaxed.
Much of the day is spent outside. The flybridge carries a large shaded lounge and sunbeds set above the deck, a natural gathering place under way or at anchor, while the aft cockpit offers alfresco dining and comfortable seating just steps from the saloon. Sunbeds on the foredeck catch the breeze, and a swim platform at the stern drops close to the water for easy access to the sea and the tender.
The main deck is laid out as one bright, open space. A comfortable saloon with a sofa and dining table sits alongside an island galley, so the cook stays part of the conversation and the whole level feels social and full of light. Large windows wrap the room and bring the sea and the sky inside, and the pale, contemporary joinery keeps everything calm and uncluttered.
Below, Armen sleeps eight across four double cabins, each with its own bathroom. The layout spreads the cabins between the two hulls for privacy, with the owner cabin given a little more room and the guest doubles finished to the same bright, modern standard. Reading lights, hull windows and generous stowage make each cabin a comfortable retreat at the end of a day on the water.
Under sail she is easy and rewarding to handle for a catamaran of her size, stable enough to make a passage comfortable and lively enough to enjoy when the wind fills in. A red downwind sail adds pace and a splash of colour on the reaches between anchorages, and the engines are always there for a still afternoon or a precise approach into a busy harbour.
Her water toys keep the days active, with a tender for exploring ashore, paddleboards and a kayak for quiet mornings, and snorkelling gear for the clear water she is built to seek out. The wide, level decks and high guardrails make it easy and safe for guests of every age to move around the yacht, whether she is sailing or lying quietly at anchor. Mornings might start with a swim off the stern and coffee in the cockpit, and the afternoons can drift from a sail across a bay to a long, lazy stop in the next cove along the coast.
A crew of three looks after the sailing, the cooking and the service, leaving guests free to settle into the slow pace of a catamaran holiday. With her light, open interior, her generous deck spaces and her modern sailing performance, S/Y Armen suits a family or a group of friends looking for a comfortable and active week among the islands of the Mediterranean, moving at their own pace from one anchorage to the next.
