ALE II is a 2024 Azimut, a brand new flybridge motor yacht built around pace, light and clever use of space for six guests. At a little under twenty two metres she sits in the sweet spot for a couple or a small group who want a quick, good looking yacht that is easy to live aboard, run day to day by a crew of two. She is a fresh, contemporary design throughout, delivered new for the season, and she feels every bit the current Azimut in the way she handles and the way she is finished.
Performance is a real part of her character. With a top speed around thirty five knots she is genuinely fast, able to dart between bays and islands and turn a long passage into a short hop, then settle to an easy cruise when there is nowhere in particular to be. The glass doors fold back to join the salon to the aft cockpit, so the inside and outside of the yacht work as one when the weather invites it.
Accommodation is arranged across three cabins for six guests, built around a full beam master with its own bathroom, a seating area and good natural light at the waterline. A VIP suite and a further cabin complete the layout, each finished in the same fresh, neutral palette, which makes her work for a family as readily as for two couples. The finish is consistent and current throughout, the cabins calm and well proportioned, so the choice of cabin is a matter of taste rather than rank.
She is well suited to Italy and the West Mediterranean, happiest on the clear water of the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian coasts, moving between coves for a swim, harbours for the evening and the odd longer run when the itinerary calls for it. Her speed and shallow reach open up a coastline that a larger, slower yacht would have to admire from further out, and the crew of two keep the days flowing without ever crowding the guests.
