LADY DIA Yacht Charter

LADY DIA is a Custom Line 140, the 42-metre flagship of the Ferretti Group’s displacement range, delivered new in 2025 from the Ancona yard. Her point of difference is volume used well. On a hull of this size the designers have given the owner a main-deck master and the guests five full suites, then wrapped the living spaces in so much glass that the sea is present in every room. The exterior is by Francesco Paszkowski, a clean and athletic profile that looks quick at rest, and quick she is: twin MTU engines hold an easy 18 knot cruise and reach toward the low twenties when you ask.

The experience on board is built around light and flow. The main salon runs in pale timber and soft cream, with windows that drop almost to the floor and a dining room set under a double-height void with a floating stair behind it. Move up and an upper sky lounge gives a quieter second living room with its own media wall, the place to retreat when the main deck is busy. Everywhere the detailing is restrained rather than loud, craftsmanship doing the work that superlatives usually try to do.

Outside, the sun deck is the yacht’s social heart. A spa pool sits forward among sun pads and a wet bar, open to the sky with the coast sliding past on both sides, shaded where you want shade and bright where you want sun. Lower down, the transom folds to a teak beach club at the waterline, a platform for swimming, launching toys or simply sitting with your feet in the water. A Williams jet tender and a seabob wait in the toy locker, and the aft and side decks give quiet corners for a book away from the group.

Accommodation is generous and calm. The master sits on the main deck with windows to three sides and its own access forward, more a private apartment at sea than a cabin, finished in dark timber with a dressing area and a large stone bathroom. Below, a VIP double, two further doubles and a cabin that works as a twin or a double sleep the remaining guests, each finished to the same standard with book-matched stone ensuites and good natural light. Ten guests sleep in real comfort, looked after by a crew of seven.

For charter, LADY DIA suits a family or a group who want space without noise. She is based for the summer in Cannes and winters in Viareggio, which puts the French and Italian Riviera, the islands off Tuscany and the wider western Mediterranean within easy reach. Her size lets her cross comfortably between cruising grounds while her beach club and spa pool keep the days at anchor unhurried. New in 2025, with a layout that favours the owner’s party and a profile that still turns heads in any marina, she is a considered choice at the top of the 40-metre class.

A week aboard tends to settle into a rhythm the yacht sets for you. Breakfast moves to the shaded aft deck, the middle of the day belongs to the spa pool and the beach club, and dinner finds its way to the sun deck as the light goes. The crew of seven keep all of it quiet and unforced, and because there is so much yacht to spread across, a party of ten never feels on top of one another. That balance of scale, pace and finish is what sets LADY DIA apart from the rest of her class.
