SKYFALL is a 57.9-metre all-aluminium motor yacht built by the American shipyard Trinity Yachts and delivered in 2010, extensively refitted in 2015. Her exterior design and engineering came entirely from Trinity’s in-house team, while her interiors were created by Patrick Knowles, who described the result as urban contemporary with overtones of Zen: an unusually poetic brief for a yacht of this size that found full expression in a design built around an abundance of woods and stones, beautifully etched glass, and genuinely unusual materials such as petrified tree trunks incorporated into the furniture and fittings.
SKYFALL’s most immediately useful attribute is her draft: at just 2.59 metres (8.5 feet), she is one of the largest Bahamas-friendly superyachts on the market, able to access shallow anchorages, cut-throughs and marina berths that remain entirely off-limits to most yachts of comparable length. Paired with twin Caterpillar engines that push her to a top speed of 21 knots and a range of around 4,600 nautical miles, she combines genuine ocean-going capability with the versatility of a shallower-draft coastal cruiser.
Her sun deck sets the social tone for the charter day. A large hot tub and shallow splash pool sit forward, surrounded by sun pads and flanked by a semi-circular bar, while al fresco dining options exist on every deck for guests who prefer breakfast at a different level each morning. The sky lounge, finished with its signature Tiger’s Eye stone bar top and etched glass panels, anchors the evenings inside with a cool, distinctive atmosphere rarely seen on charter yachts.
A dramatic foyer on the main deck aft houses a statement wine cabinet that immediately signals SKYFALL’s character: this is a yacht that takes its interiors seriously without taking itself too seriously. The main salon and dining area sit forward, flowing naturally into the forward panoramic spaces, while the master suite occupies the full main deck forward with its own private study and views that stretch across the bow.
Accommodation sleeps 12 guests across six staterooms: the full-beam panoramic master suite, a full-beam VIP suite and four further guest staterooms, each with en-suite bathroom. With a flexible configuration that can accommodate up to 17 guests on some bookings, SKYFALL adapts well to extended family groups and corporate parties. An array of water toys, a beach club and a dedicated dive platform support active days on the water.
Managed through Edmiston with a crew of 14, SKYFALL has built a particularly strong reputation in the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mediterranean, where her combination of shallow draft, high speed and strong interior character make her one of the most distinctive charter propositions in the 57-60 metre class.
With a draft of just 8.5 feet, SKYFALL accesses the shallow Bahamian cuts and banks that bar most yachts of this size.
Patrick Knowles’s design pairs woods, etched glass and unusual natural materials with a calm, considered spatial quality.
The full-beam master suite forward includes a private office and panoramic views across the bow.
Patrick Knowles used petrified tree trunks, etched glass and Tiger’s Eye stone to create an interior unlike anything else on the charter market.
