STARFIRE is a 73-metre Lurssen motor yacht that returned to the charter market in 2025 almost completely transformed. Delivered in 2007 as the second hull in an Espen Oino-designed mini-series, she spent more than a year at Abeking and Rasmussen undergoing a comprehensive rebuild that finished in March 2025, with exterior redesign by Pascoli International and interiors reimagined by Patrick Knowles Design. The result is a yacht that combines Lurssen’s legendary build quality with bold new energy: a dramatic monochrome paint scheme, expansive new floor-to-ceiling windows on the main and upper decks, a 1,979GT interior that rivals vessels in the 80-metre range, and a three-metre stern extension that introduces a vast full-beam swim platform.

Life on board STARFIRE is built around variety and discovery. Five levels of accommodation flow into one another effortlessly, with the central lift and wraparound staircase making movement between decks easy for guests of all ages. High ceilings throughout amplify the sense of space, and every level offers its own character. The main salon, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a beautifully carved Zuretti bar, is warm and social. Forward, the observation room is one of the finest spots on board, perfect for watching coastlines and sunsets whether seated inside or out.

Higher up, an English pub complete with darts and an enclosed video arcade sits alongside an indoor cinema and a versatile lounge that can transform into a children’s area or a late-night disco. A private gaming room, dual outdoor and indoor cinema setups, and numerous private retreats tucked across all decks give guests endless options for whatever the moment calls for. Cherry, walnut and mahogany woodwork run through the cabinetry and joinery, while taupe banquettes, velvet-fringed sofas and ivory upholstery add softness and warmth.

Accommodation spans seven cabins for up to 12 guests, with flexible layouts that also allow for nannies or personal staff. The full-beam owner’s suite is a private residence unto itself, with a forward-facing observation lounge, a private office, a Peloton and treadmill, a marble spa bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, his-and-hers walk-in closets, and a dedicated massage space. A VIP suite on the bridge deck offers commanding views and a generous sitting area, while four further guest cabins below provide comfort and privacy for every member of the group.

On the sundeck, the redesigned wellness and gym deck is one of the standout features of the 2025 refit, with a sauna, cold plunge pool, massage area and glass-enclosed gymnasium. A counter-current pool transforms into a Jacuzzi with a swim-up bar. Below, a full-beam beach club with extended swim platform and comprehensive watersports setup ensure time on the water is as memorable as time on board. STARFIRE cruises the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter, led by Captain Paul Duncan and a crew of 20.
