About Sunday

SUNDAY is an elegant and striking 59.8-metre motor yacht built by the celebrated Italian shipyard Benetti and launched in 2006, with a refit in 2010, a superyacht as remarkable for her art-led interior as for her graceful proportions. Her aerodynamic exterior lines are the work of Stefano Natucci, taking their inspiration from the legendary 1932 ocean liner Normandie, while her spectacular interior is the result of a collaboration between the architects of Studio IPSO, designer Sophocle Emmanouilidis and the owner’s wife, a distinguished collector and connoisseur of modern art. Built on a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure, she is a comfortable, ocean-going yacht with genuine range, cruising at around 15 knots with a top speed of 16 knots and a reach of some 5,000 nautical miles, making her equally at home on a relaxed island charter or a longer passage. Her interior is a genuine showpiece, a spacious and beautifully realised Art Deco-inspired theme with amazing attention to detail, where white onyx flooring patterned with stainless-steel geometry, carefully selected artworks and a light, inviting palette combine warmth, elegance and style throughout. The main saloon offers comfortable sofas and armchairs for relaxed gatherings, while the upper deck saloon is a more informal space with a bar, a gaming table and designer furnishings, and a formal dining area seats up to twelve. Life on deck is exceptional, with vast, well-proportioned spaces for relaxing and entertaining. The aft deck features a large sofa, the perfect place to read, watch the sunset or catch up with friends and family, while the expansive flybridge is a standout, with a bar, a jacuzzi, a further formal dining area and sunbeds, the ideal spot for real relaxation, and there are sun loungers and alfresco dining options throughout. A generous selection of tenders and water toys, from jet skis to diving equipment, completes her offering. Accommodation is arranged for up to 12 guests in six beautifully appointed en-suite cabins. The full-beam master suite is situated forward on the main deck and features a king-size bed, an owner’s study with a striking gold-engraved map of the Mediterranean, a full-beam sitting area and his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms, while a VIP queen cabin sits on the upper deck and two double cabins and two twin cabins, each with an additional Pullman berth, are located on the lower deck, all en-suite and finished to a genuine five-star hotel standard, giving a flexible layout ideally suited to families and groups of friends. A professional crew of fifteen, with hundreds of years of combined experience, ensures top cuisine, watersports training and seamless, attentive service throughout. SUNDAY cruises the Mediterranean, spending much of her season among the idyllic Greek islands and the Cyclades as well as the western Mediterranean, from the French Riviera to Italy, and offers charter guests a rare combination of Benetti pedigree, a truly spectacular art-based interior, exceptional deck spaces and a wonderful flybridge aboard one of the most individual and memorable charter yachts of her size on the market. With her generous accommodation and outstanding facilities she promises a magical charter whatever the destination.
