Five cabins at sixty metres gives ten guests the volume a twelve guest yacht spreads across six. The cabins are larger, the lower deck carries one fewer door, and the space saved usually goes to the beach club or a wider main deck master. At around one hundred and ninety seven feet this is the layout for a group that would rather have room than numbers.
Eight yachts hold this configuration, running from fifty five to sixty four metres. Amels leads with three in Galene, Kamalaya and Samira, Oceanco has Ludzie and Lucky Lady, and Feadship, Perini Navi and Alloy Yachts take one each. Spirit of the C’s and Kokomo are the sailing yachts. Six take ten guests and two take twelve, three carry a beach club and four a gym.
Weekly rates run from two hundred and forty thousand euros to three hundred and fifty thousand, with the median near three hundred and twelve thousand and most of the fleet between two hundred and forty five and three hundred and thirty six thousand. An advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. The band is unusually tight for this size.
Sixty metres with five cabins works the Mediterranean through summer, taking the Riviera, Sardinia and the Aeolian islands without night passages, and the Greek islands from Athens.
