Both centre on recovery and immersion: the sauna warming muscles after a cold-water dive, the dive itself following a morning sauna session that loosens the body for depth. Twenty three charter yachts carry both, and the overlap is deliberate, since yards building for serious cruising grounds tend to fit both as standard.
The fleet ranges from Bliss, a forty five metre Heesen, and Incal, a fifty metre Mondomarine, through mid-range vessels like Lucky Lady, Loon and Triumph, to Octopus at one hundred and twenty six metres and Renaissance at one hundred and thirty eight. Shipyards include Lurssen, Feadship, Benetti, Oceanco, Golden Yachts and Abeking and Rasmussen. Most carry full dive compressors, and saunas range from traditional Finnish timber rooms to infrared cabins with sea views.
Weekly rates open at one hundred and seventy five thousand euros for Bliss and climb to three million for Renaissance, with the median near six hundred and ninety five thousand. The broad middle sits between four hundred and sixty five thousand and one million euros. Add roughly thirty percent for the advance provisioning allowance, which on a diving charter covers compressor operation, tank fills, nitrox and crew dive briefings.
The Mediterranean dominates summer, with Greece, Turkey, Croatia and Sardinia offering strong diving alongside anchorages where a post-dive sauna overlooking a quiet bay closes the day.
