HP6 is one of the largest planing yachts Riva builds, and a rare kind of charter yacht: a low, sculpted sport profile that carries the volume, cabin count and finish of a far larger boat. Delivered in 2021 with naval architecture by the Ferretti engineering team and interiors by Officina Italiana Design, she brings the Riva design language up to superyacht scale without losing the pace that made the yard famous.
Her twin MTU engines drive a light GRP planing hull to a top speed of 26 knots and a relaxed 20 knot cruise, so she moves between the Riviera anchorages while much of the fleet is still getting under way. That speed changes what a week on board can look like. Breakfast in one bay, lunch in another, and back in Monaco or Cannes in time for dinner ashore, all without long, slow passages eating into the day. For a charter party this is real value, turning transit time into time at anchor.
Inside, the main deck is a single open volume framed in warm walnut and pale, tactile fabrics. Full height glass runs down both sides, so the salon and formal dining sit in near constant natural light with the coastline moving past on either beam. A separate lounge gives guests a quieter corner away from the main gathering space, and the flow out to the shaded aft deck, set for alfresco dining and evening drinks, is effortless. Sliding doors fold the boundary between salon and deck away entirely when the weather is warm.
HP6 sleeps ten guests across five cabins. The master takes a generous, near full beam room with its own large windows and ensuite, while four further cabins, doubles and twins among them, are finished to the same standard and served by their own bathrooms. Every cabin has a sea view or generous natural light, which is a rarity below decks on a yacht drawn to this sport profile. A crew of five looks after the party from separate quarters, keeping service close but unobtrusive.
She is built for guests who want to be on the water and moving. The tender and toy inventory is comprehensive for her size: a Williams jet tender, two Seabobs, paddleboards, an electric JetSurf, wakeboard and water skis, with a swim platform and beach club style bathing area at the stern. Fishing and snorkelling gear round out the inventory for quieter days at anchor. A day can run from a fast morning transfer to a favourite lunch spot, through an afternoon of watersports, to a still evening at anchor with the coastline lit behind.
What sets HP6 apart is the combination of pace, style and space in a single hull. Sport yachts this quick rarely offer this much room, and yachts with this much room are rarely this fast or this sharply drawn. For a charter party that wants the glamour of a Riva with the practicality of a five cabin layout, she is an unusually complete package, cruising the French Riviera and the wider West Mediterranean through the season. Availability tends to move early, so the prime summer weeks are worth securing well ahead.
