Bodrum is Turkey’s most established superyacht charter base, combining a historic harbour overlooked by the Castle of St Peter with a coastline of coves, peninsulas, and island passages that reward exploration over multiple days. A 40-metre charter yacht from Bodrum has immediate access to the Bodrum Peninsula’s finest anchorages, as well as the longer passages toward the Datca Peninsula and the Greek islands of Kos and Rhodes.
At 40 metres, the yacht carries eight to ten guests across four or five staterooms and provides the agility to enter smaller coves around Aspat Bay and the peninsula’s northern shore that larger yachts must pass. A crew of seven to nine manages all navigation, catering, and watersports, with Bodrum’s full-service marinas available for provisioning and crew changes.
Weekly charter rates for 40-metre yachts in Bodrum run from approximately 25,000 to 60,000 euros. The advance provisioning allowance at 30 per cent covers fuel for the Bodrum and Datca circuit, provisions through Bodrum’s well-supplied marina market, and all Turkish transit log and marina fees.
From Bodrum, the circuit explores the castle harbour, Gumbet Bay, Aspat anchorage, the shallow bay at Gumuslluk, the north coast village at Turkbuku, and the longer passage west to Knidos on the tip of the Datca Peninsula.
