The Turkish coastline stretches more than 8,000 kilometres from the Greek border at the Aegean to the eastern Mediterranean. For charter guests the working territory is a generous arc from Bodrum in the north to Kas in the south, a region known as the Turquoise Coast for the remarkable clarity of its water. The advance provisioning allowance covering fuel, provisions, berthing and water toys adds 25 to 30 per cent on top. June, September and October are particularly good value, with calmer Meltemi conditions than July and August.
The whole coast rewards exploration. Bodrum, Gocek, Marmaris, Datca, Kas and Kekova each offer a distinct character, and a two-week itinerary can connect several without repeating a bay.
