Two hundred thousand euros a week is the point at which a charter stops being defined by compromise. Sixty one yachts in our charter fleet sit in this band, priced between two hundred thousand and two hundred and forty five thousand euros for a summer week, and almost every one of them clears forty metres.
The median length here is just over forty nine metres, with the fleet running from forty one to sixty five. Fifty one are motor yachts and ten are sailing, which makes this one of the few brackets where a Perini Navi ketch and a Feadship tri-deck compete for the same booking. Perini Navi is the best represented yard with seven yachts, followed by Feadship, Benetti, Westport and Proteksan Turquoise. At this size you get a beach club that opens properly, a crew of ten to fourteen, and guest cabins that no longer feel ranked.
The quoted rate covers the yacht and crew. Add an advance provisioning allowance of around thirty percent for fuel, food, berthing and drinks, and expect the top of each yacht’s range in July and August. Refit history and build year move the number more than length does.
