Thirty two metres is the point where a charter yacht stops feeling like a large boat and starts behaving like a small ship. At around one hundred and five feet there is enough hull for a proper flybridge, a tender garage and a crew of five or six, yet the yacht still takes the inner berths at Portofino, Bonifacio and Hydra that longer hulls are turned away from. For a family or two couples travelling together it is often the most useful size afloat.

ALAYA is a 1965 Lurssen carried through a full modern refit, and reads as a classic in every anchorage she enters. 50 Fifty is a 2024 Ocean Alexander and the newest hull in the group. Sanjana brings Turkish build quality and a wide beam, while Crossbow is a Southern Wind sailing yacht for anyone who would rather arrive under canvas.
Weekly rates in this bracket run from fifty nine thousand euros to one hundred and fifteen thousand, with older hulls near the bottom of that range and recent builds at the top. Add an advance provisioning allowance of roughly thirty percent, which covers fuel, food, berthing and drinks. August sits at the upper end of the band.
